Yearbook 2009-2010

Delivery is scheduled for mid-May at a date to be announced.
Please check all school announcements for updates about delivery
and timeline.

Projected delivery date is Wednesday May 12th (as of 4-23); please note date is subject to change.  Please listen to morning announcements for updates.

Distribution will take place in the main auditorium at a time set by campus administration.  Books will not be distributed earlier than the times scheduled. Students will need a picture ID card in hand to pick up their one book; no picture ID card means no book!  Students may only pick up their personal book and may not get books belonging to siblings, friends, relatives.

Students are asked to put their name in books upon receipt as books have been stolen in past years. Replacement books are not available!  Please keep a watchful eye on your book when passing it around to be signed.

Distribution will end promptly at 2:30 due to clean up and inventory.

Second day distribution will be in the commons area during all lunches only. Please have the picture ID in hand to get the book.

After the second day distribution in the commons, all books will only be available for pick up in room 820 either before school or during publication classes meeting period 3, 4, 5, and 6.  Books may not be picked up at any other time. Books will be available for pick up until June 2nd. The main campus switchboard will have one box of yearbooks and the distribution list for summer pick up.

Have you moved?  We can no longer mail yearbooks due to expense as they are very heavy. Please send an email to salexander@kleinisd.net giving student name and grade explaining that you have moved. State the name of the individual who will be picking up the pre-ordered book and for extra security, please send the student’s picture ID card to the individual picking up the book.

EXTRA YEARBOOKS?

An exact number of books had to be submitted to the printer by mid-January. Extra books to sell were not ordered this school year due to expense. However, we always receive a print over-run and we plan to sell these books on a first come, first serve basis for $100.00 cash only!

When will these “overs” be sold? The morning after the pre-ordered books are delivered to the student body starting at 7:00 AM in Room 820.  Please plan to arrive at school very early as books are sold on a first come basis only.  If delivery is as planned on May 12th, the over-run of books will be sold at 7:00 AM on May 13th.

How many will be sold?  We will not know how many books are sent until the truck arrives, pre-ordered books are distributed and inventory is completed the night of delivery. Again, if it is important to you to get a book, please plan to arrive at Klein early to get in line for the 7:00 AM sale.

Your book should have 408 pages!  If you find damaged or missing pages, bring the book to Room 820. If you find a flaw after people have signed the book, we can replace it but you can’t keep both books.

Mistakes!  Mistaks!  Misteaks!  Bottom line, they happen and when we  see them on May 12  it will make us sick. Please keep in mind that after the book is printed, there is nothing we can do about it. The book is proofed in advance by students, editors, adviser and a principal and we hate when errors are not caught and/or corrected.  Please do not come to the room or call to point out a mistake; members of the editorial board and adviser will be available Monday May 24 to meet with you from 11:45 – 2:30.  While it is the nature of the print world for people to find errors, please remember the kids worked as hard as humanly possible on the yearbook. You wouldn’t yell at the football player who fumbled the ball or even the drama student who forgot a line and the book is the newborn of these kids in grades 9 – 12 and they do not benefit from people saying their “baby” has flaws.

Again, plan to come to Room 820 and discuss how we can do a better job on May 24th from 11:45 – 2:30.
