In 16 years coaching high school soccer, Coach Lawhon has accumulated an overall coaching record of: 313-51-27. In 2004, Lawhon’s team went undefeated to win the Class 5-A State championship. Lawhon was named Dallas Morning News Coach of the Year for 2005. He was selected as the 2004 NSCAA Texas Coach of the Year, The US Southwest Region Coach of the Year and was one of 8 finalists for National HS Coach of the Year. As a High School Coach, Lawhon's teams have made the playoffs all 16 years under his direction.  Playoff accomplishments include 5 state appearances and 8 regional appearances. Coach Lawhon has a diverse sports career which includes playing both soccer and baseball at the collegiate level.

Lawhon has 13 years experience coaching select club soccer. He currently continues to work with local youth soccer players here in the Klein area. Many of Coaches ex players have played college soccer at the D1 level. Some have won National Championships, played for our National team, and earned All American honors. He has had players go on to play professional soccer in Europe as well as here in the MLS and other US pro leagues.

Interesting facts: He is one of only a hand full of coaches in Texas that have coached in both a State Championship Soccer game and State Championship Football final, as well as coaching in both the Texas High School Football and Soccer All Star games. Coach Lawhon has a diverse sports career which includes playing both soccer and baseball at the collegiate level.

Coaches family:  Coach is married to Rose, and has three children, Brittnie, London and Ryder. When he's not spending time with his family, Coach enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar.
