General information:

• Students must be 16 years old.
• Testing is required, or proof of exemption.  
• Payment of tuition is required before enrollment is completed.
• Enrollment date will be announced each semester.
• Students MUST maintain a C-average to remain in the dual credit program.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENROLLING IN A DUAL CREDIT CLASS

Complete the online application.  PRINT step 19 the “Application Completion Checklist”.  Review and submit the application.

Bring the "Application Success" printout to your counselor. You counselor will check your possible exemtion status with TAKS, SAT, or ACT scores (1070 on your SAT with both verbal and math, or a 23 on your ACT with 19 on both English and math, or a 2200 and a subscore on TAKS)back to Mrs. Hageland to receive your blue Exceptional Admissions/Registration forms.

If you do not meet exeption status, you must take the Compass test at Lone Star College. Arrive at the Assessment Center at least FOUR hours before closing.

After passing the test, see Mrs. Hageland in the counseling office at KHS. She will give you the registration paperwork.   Complete your registration by submitting your Exceptional Admission and Registration forms and making PAYMENT.  YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED FOR DUAL CREDIT UNTIL YOU HAVE PAID LONE STAR COLLEGE - Tomball or Willowchase!!

If you are a returning dual credit student, you only need to pick up your Exceptional Admission and Registration forms and make payment at the college.
