Student must be 16 years old.
Embedded (on campus) courses include U.S. History and English 4. Courses offered on the college campus are listed in this packet.
All sophomores must test at the college to qualify; juniors can quality by specific scores on TAKS, SAT or ACT test. Qualifying scores are included in this packet.
Registration and payment for tuition is required for each semester course. Semester tuition is required for each semester course. Semester tuition is currently less than $50.
Students must adhere to the registration deadlines for Klein High School, which differ from those at the college. Failure to meet the KHS deadline will result in the student’s removal from the dual credit course and placement in a regular course on the high school campus.
Students should request the dual credit course during the course selection process at Klein High School. Meetings will be held for the students who request dual credit to help them begin the process.
Dual credit courses are a serious commitment and should only entered into by those mature enough to handle college-level work while in high school.
Students and parents should discuss their plans for dual credit courses with the student’s counselor.
