Why take Dual Credit courses?
Dual Credit courses satisfy high school graduation requirements and earn college semester credit hours.

Where are Dual Credit courses held?
Dual Credit courses may be embedded on the KHS campus or taken at Lonestar College campus.

What is the cost?
Dual Credit students receive a 100% discount on in-district tuition only. Students will pay college fees of less than $50.

Will my Dual Credit courses transfer to college?
Most courses will transfer to senior universities in the State of Texas. If you are Core Curriculum Complete (have completed 42 semester hours of academic core courses as defined in the Catalog), all public colleges and universities in Texas must accept the full core. If you intend to transfer to a private or an out-of-state university, contact the private or out-of-state university admissions department and ask if your Lone Star College System credits transfer.

How do I qualify for Dual Credit courses?
Students should be classified as a junior or senior, and achieve "college readiness" scores on the SAT, ACT, THEA, ASSET or COMPASS assessment tests.
